CRCC Global Engagement

Logo - Cedar Ridge Community Church

As we experience God's love and healing and become more aware of God's Kingdom and the life and freedom it brings, we naturally want to share that with others. We do this not in a condescending way, not as brokers of power, but as servants who recognize the dignity, the beauty, the image of God in every person.

As we think about global engagement, it's inseparable from the other aspects of loving our neighbors around us. As we spend time with people we are profoundly changed ourselves. As we serve, we experience personal transformation that is part of the inward journey of discipleship. In our engagement, we seek to take time to develop understanding, build relationships with local people, learn from them and partner together to bring about the goodness of the Kingdom of God.

Guatemala Partnership Trip: Twenty-five youth and adults will be heading to Ipala, Guatemala to continue our relationship with the wonderful people of this Central American town. Your financial support will not only help our students make the trip (July 6-15), but you’ll also be funding some of the practical projects we’ll be working on side-by-side with our Guatemalan partners. Thanks in advance for your generosity!  » Read more

Help People in Need of Warm Coats This Winter

Logo - Cedar Ridge Community Church

We are partnering with the Town of Riverdale Park and the Christian Life Center of Riverdale to collect new and lightly used, clean coats for persons in need of them. Distribution to new immigrants (many from Guatemala) and needy residents of Riverdale and the surrounding area takes place at Thanksgiving. We ask that you search your closets and attics for unneeded coats to share with those who will otherwise face the winter without a coat. While we usually think of women and children first, the greatest need usually is for men's coats, followed by children and then women.  We will be collecting them at Cedar  Ridge on Sundays, November 4, 11 and 18. » Read more
